This journey through Jordan ended at Aqaba, the only seaport of the country. Aqaba is well known for its beach resorts and luxury hotels, which service those who come for fun in the sand as well as watersports like windsurfing & scuba diving. This is not really the place I like but it was time to relax for a day after visiting two famous places (and so different) of Jordan : the city of Petra and the Wadi Rum desert.

Pierre_dm's experience was in Al `Aqabah, Jordan. He went on 05 of January 2008 for 1 day. He went for tourism, relaxation. Pierre_dm went with a group of friends. He got there and around by boat or ferry, bus or coach. Pierre_dm's verdict is: not bad.
For a short overview of the Gulf of Aqaba, a boat trip including "on board lunch" is an option. Stopping along the beaches on the East part heading Saudi Arabia allows for snorkeling.
Just West of Aqaba, the Wadi Araba Crossing allows to go to Israël.
