Chugging away from the docks on a conch train through the streets of Key West is how our first ever trip to the Southernmost city in the Continental USA began. We were dropped off at Mallory Square at the conch train station and were left to create our own little adventure. Sheltering from the rain we scuttled through the town centre which reminded me of an old western movie town with the exception of cars for horses.

Nadia's travel blog in Key West, United States. She went on 28 of May 2007 for 1 day. She went for tourism. Nadia went with a partner. She got there and around by cruise liner. Nadia's travel verdict is: not bad.
The quaint white Colonial houses with saloon type shutters on windows, open porches and encircling verandahs was representative of an architectural style for a tropical climate. It was warm and inviting and very laid-back. The history of Key West dates back to 1521 when it was known for its shipwrecks and pirates. The historical sight we came across was the oldest house in Key West dating back to 1829 which now houses a museum.
