Imagine walking along cobbled streets where around every corner there’s an artifact of yesteryear or a statue of a historical figure. Where shady corners house al-fresco cafes where you can stop for a bite to eat or drink. Imagine all of this happens in one great resort, the Kura Hulanda.
Located in Willemsted on the Caribbean island of Curacao is this 8-block village which is part of the Kura Hulanda resort. It comprises of 65 various Dutch colonial restored buildings that line the cobbled streets. It is the brainchild of Jacob Gelt Dekker who put it together as an historic and environmental preservation project funded by the Jade Foundation.
