Jsikorsky's travel blog in Beijing, China. He went on 11 of February 1998 for 1 day. He went for tourism, adventure. Jsikorsky went with a friend. He got there and around by bus/coach, airplane/helicopter. jsikorsky's travel verdict is: you must go here.

A few years ago I travelled to China to walk the great wall. It's something I've always wanted to do and a friend of mine prompted me to give it a go.

After being dropped off by a coach, we started walking on top of one of the main sections still standing. I was amazed by the length of the wall that you could see down the horizon. I was with a friend and we walked for about an hour until the wall started crumbling. Not too many people were walking that day, but mostly stayed around the bus drop off point.

I'd definitely recommend doing a walk, as it puts the wall into perspective and gets you away from the tourists.

Is it normal for the wall to be crumbling?
