Hugo's experience was in London, United Kingdom. He went on 19 of May 2007 for 3 hours. He went for culture, relaxation, interest/hobby. Hugo went with a friend. He got there and around by walking. It is hugo's favorite place.

One quick word of advice...go to see the Antony Gormley, Blind Light, art exhibition now. Go on.

This is the most amusing and exciting art exhibition I have (probably) ever been to and I think the most memorable.

I spontaniously went with a friend Dillon and managed to get in at c. 9pm without booking.

There are a raft of stunning things in the exhibition that are all magical but I will focus on two things: The Blind Light experience (The foggy room) and the experience on the Balcony (where Gormley's figures make a celebrity appearance). Fantastic. Anyhow, let me share at little of why I thought it was so good.

Firstly, the Blind Light, which I am not sure how much I should describe. I think it spoils it to rattle on too much. A quick overview should suffice: 25 people at a time are allowed to enter what is a glass cube filled with white smoke and a bright white light above it. Perplexed? Indeed, but go on it...it is worth it and better than what you think. Like a film it is better not to say what you think until everyone has seen it.

Here are a few photos to get you in the mood...

...once you are rather excited by this and other excellent elements of the exhibition - like Space Station (it weighs 27 tons!), Sense, Matrices and Expansions, - head out onto the balcony for a beer (there is a bar) and absorb the hilarious, fun and tremendous spectacle that is 'Event Horizon'. 31 figures are spread over a 1.5 sq km area, so you have Gormley's figure (literally) appearing on roof tops as far as the eye can see. If that does not bring a smile to your face then what will?

If that wasn't enough then a walk along South Bank to start your journey home is enough to make you think that London is a jolly fine place.

I finally went the other week and wow!The man's a genius! I did get a little claustrophobic in the Blind Light "box" though!

I agree, Gormley is a genius. Each exhibit is worthy of a top rate exhibition in its own right.
The Blind Light experience is wonderfully disorientating. Brilliant experience and so much more than you expect before you step into it. Makes you think...

A little digital Casio 3.2 Mega-Pixels. This was its finest hour though. It is now on the blink!

Spotting the Gormley figures as you walk around the South Bank is a genuinely creepy, Dr Who-ish experience, and it really does make you look at familiar skylines with a fresh eye. Those photographs are fantastic, Hugo - Blind LIght is definitely now on my to-do-next-in-London list!

I went to see this spontaneously too... being in the 'foggy room' is definitely a surreal experience. I would recommend standing quietly by yourself inside and listening to what other people say - very amusing!
