My trip to the Milford Sound in New Zealand definitely holds a fond place in my memory. I'm not sure why, as the day itself on the boat pottering up the steep sided sound was not in itself a terrifically amazing experience. However, I do remember how the landscape had a moodyness that was very memorable. The clouds hung grumpily over the dark and wet rockfaces...(ok, I give up trying to be an expressive writer). Just look at the photo and maybe that explains...

Hugo's travel blog in Milford Sound, New Zealand. He went on 08 of June 1990 for 1 day. He went for tourism, get closer to nature. Hugo went with just me. He got there and around by bus/coach. Hugo's travel verdict is: recommended.
Oh and I think it is worth mentioning the dolphins that surfed on the front of the boats hull waves for the entire journey. Why is it that dolphins are so mesmorising?
If you are in this neck of the woods then I would recommend a visit.
