Hugo's travel blog in San Francisco, United States. He went on 24 of April 2007 for 3 hours. He went for tourism, culture, relaxation. Hugo went with a friend. He got there and around by airplane/helicopter, walking. Hugo's travel verdict is: recommended.

The walk upto the Coit Tower, is rather steep but not what I would classify a killer. A good way to earn your evening dinner. Keep going, it is worth it...

Once you get to the Coit Tower, there are some top views but it is worth going the final mile and paying to get the lift up (by paying $4.50 in the shop) and getting the panoramic views from the top of the tower.

After leaving the Coit Tower the walk continued down the steps of Telegraph Hill towards the Levi Centre. If anyone has seen the (rather arty but charming) film 'The Parrots of Telegraph Hill' then the steps will seem rather familiar. It is a stunning walk down through a wild but pretty gardenscape with rather pretty little houses sitting on the steep slopes (how they get the shopping back is beyond me).

There we go. Just a short pre-evening nosh walk which give you some great views across San Francisco, a hill to build up some appetite and for me what seems to be one of the classically San Francsico walking experiences.

The Coit Tower is a great look-out point! I can see why you'd want to have something to say about it!
