Monte Carlo F1 Grand Prix ( by GreenHippo in Monte carlo, Monaco )

Monte Carlo, a city of glamour, fast cars and playboys. And there is no better time to see all of these things than during the last weekend of May when the city is throbbing with the roar of the Formula 1 car engines.

Many people do not even make it as far as the town itself - they are stuck in their rented Renault Modus' on the A8, having expected to be able to drive and park in the town. Park in Monte Carlo? Vancouver people love coffee - there is a coffee house on every corner. Even the kids choose the coffee places to hang out over the bars and clubs that other nationalities would choose.

The city is so European in style - the people are more trendily dressed than they are in London. Not in a faddish way, but with a true Parisian feel which makes it seem that they are leading the way fashion-wise and not being dragged along.

The air is clean ...
