I love to travel, and it does not matter where. I think for me travelling can even be on ones own doorstep, as the true essence of travel for me is about new experiences, meeting new and interesting people, and most importantly discovering new cultures, thus breaking down the walls of ignorance and stereotype, which are rife in our society. I got the travel bug ever since i travelled solo for the first time up to the Scottish Highlands at the age of 16. Since then I have travelled and studied for a year in Mexico and spent a number of months on and off in Spain. Back in the summer of 2005, at the age of 19, i did a seven week whirlwind trip of europe, taking in seven countries, but these days I prefer to spend more time in one place and get to feel its pulse, rhythm and character.
