Italian food all sounds amazing on the menu and the quality of everyday eating is generally a very high standard. But there are places that excede expectations and satiate both apetite and desire.

Fuori Porta in Firenze is one of those places. This restaurant was to be found in an area not seemingly frequented hugely by tourists. If popularity could be measured by how many people were having to be turned away then Fuori Porta is both admired and trendy.

The menu at this place is fantastic, simple food using quality ingredients. A small selection of fresh seafood specials that are changed daily were our top choice and the restaurant had the most impressive wine list in Florence. The staff were accomodating and particlarly helpful when advising on wine tastes.

It is a little sad writing a whole report just on one restaurant, but this place really did make our trip and so if you are ever in Florence check out Fuori Porta.
