Oh. My. Gosh.
I heard there were something called iPod parties and saw some video on youtube of everyone rocking out in a train station to their own music and emailed every English person I know. About a month later, Jackpot.
Here's the site: www.mobile-clubbing.com
When there are events they'll run across the page. The three images are clickable on the home page even though they don't look it.
The iPod flash party I went to was in a few cities all at once. I was in London at St. Paul's Cathedral. Just before the clock struck 6:46 pm I grabbed some gin and tonics from M&S then raced back to scream a countdown from 20 along with hundreds of other people. Then we danced our asses off for 1.5 hours, nonstop.
We were properly sweating.
I danced my earrings off. You can gage how far along in the night it is based on how many earrings I have in. Two, then one, then zero.
That's a great sign, y'all.
We danced and danced and danced. Some memorable tracks for me:
-- I Wear Sunglasses at Night/Corey Hart
-- You and Your Hand/Pink
-- Girls Just Wanna Have Fun/Cyndi Lauper
-- Dance, Dance/Fallout Boy
-- The Only Difference/Panic at the Disco
-- James/Blue October
-- Apply Some Pressure/Maximo Park
-- Hang Me Out to Dry/Cold War Kids
-- I wanna dance with somebody/ Whitney Houston
-- Aenema/Tool
-- Like a Virgin/Madonna
-- Push the Button/Sugababes
-- Buttons/Pussycat Dolls
Then we crossed the mighty Thames (on a bridge, of course) and glugged tasty beverages imbued with alcohol for longer than I realized. It was a gorgeous night, with this deep blue sky and the twinkling lights of the South Bank are behind us.
I did a little leap of happiness.

That is one very cool idea. The pillow fight club sounds pretty interesting too!
