<description>Rabat opens up only slowly to you. At the first day of your first arrival you will discover that there is another atmosphere here, and compared to other Moroccan cities people are a bit shy and don't start talking to you easily. Somehow, they don't care about you.
Walking your lonely walks around town, the many gems of a capital of a magic country reveals themselves to you. And it isn't always the things that are first seen that will keep your eyes entertained.
Modern Rabat is clean and open, perhaps a bit too open during the summer heat. But around it, there are both old Muslim quarters as well as beautiful remains from all periods of Moroccan history.
Being the capital, it has the actual royal palace and the Kings' mausoleum. Its main attraction, however, is the weird Hassan tower, while Kasbah de Ouda&#239;as is on the shortlist of having Morocco's most picturesque streets. Almost mystical and very beautiful is the Chellah.

<description>Ouarzazate City in south-centralMorocco with 60,000 inhabitants (2005 estimate).
Ouarzazate is situated in the interior of the country, south of the High Atlas mountains, at an elevation of 1,135 metres.
Ouarzazate has been formed to become the centre of Sahara tourism, and the place has many luxury hotels. Ouarzazate has also served as the centre of international film makers, when shooting desert and semidesert scenes. Among famous films shot around Ouarzazate we find The Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and The Sheltering Sky. Ouarzazate has an international airport. 
HISTORY
19th century: The Glaoui family gets control of the region, and settles in the Taourirt kasbah.

<title>Sun , Sea and Love ( by ahmedfeth in Essaouira, Morocco )</title>
<description>Essaouira Town in Morocco with 70,000 inhabitants (2006 estimate), situated on the Atlantic Sea, in the middle of Morocco.
The economic base of the city is fishing and small industry. Over the recent decades, tourism has become increasingly important.
Essaouira is well connected with other urban centres of Morocco by good roads. Marrakech is 175 km east, Safi 130 km north, Agadir 185 km south, Casablanca 350 km northeast.
Essaouira is one of North Africa's most beautiful cities and offers a mixture of Portuguese, French, and Berber architecture. 
HISTORY
End 15th century: The Portuguese found the city of Mogador, a military and commercial bridgehead for the western coast of Africa.
1541: The Portuguese lose Mogador to local tribesmen. The city goes into decline.
1765: Sultan Sidi Muhammad ibn Abdallah gets the French architect Theodore Cornut to draw up a city suitable for foreign traders as well as military purposes. The name Essaouira is introduced.
